Pinard Et Filles Jane Doe 2024

Founded by Frédéric Simon and Catherine Bélanger, Pinard & Filles farms 7.5 hectares across Québec, including a sandy-soiled vineyard near the St. Lawrence River in Lanoraie. The domaine works naturally in both vineyard and cellar, using spontaneous fermentation, no winemaking additives and minimal intervention.

Jane Doe is a field blend of the white hybrid varieties grown at the Lanoraie site: La Crescent, Itasca, Frontenac Blanc and Frontenac Gris. The grapes are direct pressed, fermented and aged in 480 L stainless-steel vessels, then bottled unfined, unfiltered and without added sulphur.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale golden yellow, slightly hazy in appearance.

Nose: Pineapple, peach and yellow pear with citrus, honeysuckle and subtle earthy notes.

Palate: Juicy and energetic, with tropical and orchard fruit balanced by lively acidity. A gently sour, savoury fermentation character gives the wine a distinctive natural-wine edge without overwhelming its freshness.

Finish: Bright and tangy with citrus, mineral notes and lingering tropical fruit.
