Broken Oak Coconut Vodka is produced by Latitude 55 Distillery in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Established in 2019, Latitude 55 operates from Grande Prairie's historic third firehall, known locally as the Bell Tower, where the team handles production from mashing and fermentation through distillation, blending and bottling. Its portfolio includes whisky, rum, gin and vodka under several labels, including Broken Oak.

Latitude 55 describes its vodka program as being made with locally sourced grains and water, while its broader distilling process incorporates grain-on fermentation and column distillation. The distillery emphasizes small-batch production and uses only the desirable heart portion of the distillate when creating its spirits.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Fresh coconut leads with a gentle tropical sweetness over clean grain spirit, with subtle creamy and vanilla-like aromas.

Palate: Smooth and rounded with natural coconut at the forefront, followed by light vanilla, toasted-nut character and restrained tropical sweetness. At 40%, it retains the warmth and structure of vodka rather than drinking like a coconut liqueur.

Finish: Clean and gently warming with lingering coconut and soft sweetness, finishing drier and fresher than its tropical profile might suggest.
