Sheringham Chocolate Liqueur

Sheringham Sirene Chocolate Liqueur is a collaboration between Sheringham Distillery and Sirene Chocolate, an artisan chocolate maker based in Victoria, British Columbia. Sheringham founders Jason and Alayne MacIsaac originally envisioned a decadent dark chocolate sipper, but the partnership resulted in something considerably more nuanced than a conventional dessert liqueur.

Rather than simply adding chocolate flavouring, Sheringham works with the shells and husks left behind during Sirene's chocolate-making process. These cacao byproducts come from ethically grown and sourced beans and still contain considerable aromatic character. Sheringham extracts those remaining flavours into the spirit, giving the finished liqueur genuine cacao complexity while finding a second use for an ingredient that would otherwise be discarded.

Suggested Serve & Cocktails
Sheringham specifically designed this to work as a standalone sipper, so try it neat or lightly chilled after dinner. Its darker cacao character also makes it particularly well suited to whisky, coffee, aged rum and cream-based cocktails.
