Malecon Selección Esplendida 1991- 30 Year Old Rum Wooden box

From the year 1991 comes this Seleccion Esplendida rum from Malecon. The rum, produced at an undisclosed distillery in Panama, is made using traditional Cuban methods of production. It then spent many moons resting in bourbon barrels, American white oak, until it was bottled at 40% ABV in 2021.Absolutely delicious. Vanilla, caramel, chocolate, and cigars are the major players. Tickles the tongue, no burn. Starts with an immediate hit of vanilla and caramel, as it dances across the tongue, the chocolate and cigar flavours make their debut. 30 year perfection.
