Little Engine Elevation Chardonnay

Little Engine Wines is a boutique winery based in Penticton on the Naramata Bench, known for small-lot production and a focus on premium, terroir-driven wines. The Elevation series represents a more approachable tier within the portfolio while maintaining attention to detail and regional expression.

Chardonnay for the Elevation bottling is sourced from select Okanagan vineyards, where warm days and cool nights allow for full ripening alongside preserved acidity. Fermentation typically takes place in a combination of stainless steel and French oak barrels, followed by ageing on lees to enhance texture and complexity. Partial malolactic fermentation may be used to balance acidity with a rounder mouthfeel.

Nose: Aromas of apple, pear, and citrus, with notes of vanilla, light toast, and subtle floral tones
Palate: Medium-bodied, with flavours of orchard fruit, lemon curd, and light stone fruit, supported by balanced acidity and a gentle creaminess
Finish: Smooth and persistent, with lingering citrus, subtle oak, and mineral notes

Enjoy now or cellar for 3–5 years to allow further integration and development.
Pairs well with roasted chicken, seafood (especially shellfish), creamy pasta dishes, and soft to semi-firm cheeses. Also complements dishes with buttery sauces or mild spices.
