Jadot Chambertin Clos de Beze

Maison Louis Jadot was founded in Beaune in 1859, although the family’s vineyard history began earlier with the acquisition of Beaune Premier Cru Clos des Ursules in 1826. Chambertin-Clos de Bèze Grand Cru sits on the east-facing slope of Gevrey-Chambertin, between Mazis-Chambertin and the legendary Chambertin Grand Cru.
Jadot vinifies the wine traditionally, with destemmed Pinot Noir undergoing approximately three to four weeks of fermentation and maceration, followed by around 18 months of maturation in oak barrels from the house’s Cadus cooperage.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Bright ruby to medium garnet, beginning to show the subtle evolution expected from more than a decade in bottle.

Nose: Highly aromatic and complex, with strawberry, cranberry, dried cherry and red currant layered with rose, dried flowers and blood orange. Earth, underbrush and stony mineral notes add savoury depth, while delicate spice emerges with air.

Palate: Concentrated yet remarkably light on its feet, with vibrant red berry and pomegranate fruit supported by fresh acidity and serious, finely structured tannins. Mineral, citrus and Asian spice notes build through the palate, balancing the wine’s richness with exceptional precision and energy.

Finish: Very long and energetic, carrying cherry, currant, floral and mineral tones through a persistent, tightly focused finish.
