Grappa Paternum Barricata

Grappa PATERNUM from the Iuzzolini estate is a grappa from grape pomace intended for the “ Paternum ” IGT Calabria wine. 32Maturation takes place in French oak barriques for twelve months and the French wood gives it an intense aroma of toasted and vanilla notes and an elegant amber colour. Grape variety: 100% Magliocco. Production area: Calabria, central eastern part of the province of Crotone, in the Carfizzi locality of Motta. Soil: white clay. Altimetry: from 200 to 300 meters above sea level Climate: Mediterranean, with mild winters and hot, dry summers. Maturation: in French oak barriques for twelve months. Refinement: two months in the bottle. Distillation: obtained from fresh Magliocco pomace distilled in a bain-marie with the traditional copper alembic. Sensory characteristics: Perfume – the French wood gives it an intense aroma of toasted and vanilla notes and an elegant amber colour. Taste – with a persuasive, round, full, soft, sweet and velvety taste with typical hints of the original grape. Serving temperature: to drink at room temperature, preferably in large balloon type glasses.
