Domaine Gemiere Sancerre Blanc Prestige

Domaine Gémière is a producer based in the Sancerre appellation in France’s Loire Valley, a region renowned for benchmark expressions of Sauvignon Blanc. The vineyards are planted on a mix of limestone, flint, and clay soils, which contribute to the wine’s characteristic minerality and structure.

The “Prestige” cuvée typically represents a selection of higher-quality vineyard parcels, emphasizing concentration and refinement. The cool continental climate of Sancerre allows for slow ripening, preserving acidity while developing aromatic complexity.

Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel to maintain freshness and clarity, with little to no oak influence. The focus is on expressing terroir and varietal purity, often with some lees ageing to add subtle texture.
