Chiarli V Cialdini Lambrusco Grasparossa

The Chiarli family is one of the historic names of Lambrusco, with roots in Modena dating back to 1860. Today, Cleto Chiarli focuses on more terroir-driven expressions of the region’s traditional sparkling reds, and Vigneto Cialdini is one of the producer's benchmark wines. The wine comes from Tenuta Villa Cialdini in Castelvetro di Modena, where the family maintains a historic vineyard planted with authentic clones of Lambrusco Grasparossa. This is important because Grasparossa is quite different from the lighter, more delicate Lambrusco di Sorbara.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Strikingly deep ruby-purple, considerably darker than many styles of Lambrusco, topped by a fine, lively mousse.

Nose: Expressive blackberry, dark cherry, plum, and wild forest berries, layered with violet and purple flowers, subtle spice, and earthy nuances.

Palate: Dry, juicy, and surprisingly structured. Ripe blackberry and cherry are balanced by vibrant acidity, fine bubbles, and the noticeable tannins characteristic of Grasparossa, giving this far more depth and grip than a typical easy-drinking sparkling red.

Finish: Fresh and savoury, with lingering dark berries, spice, earth, and firm tannic structure.
