Bruichladdich Octomore Edition 13.2 – 5 Year Old Scottish Barley Oloroso Cask (58.3%)

The Octomore 13.2 Single Malt Whiskey was matured in Spanish Oloroso Sherry casks from Bodega Fernadon de Castilla for over 5 years. The phenol content of the Scottish Concerto barley is given by the Islay distillery as 137.3 ppm. This limited single malt whiskey is available in a cask strength of 58.3% vol. in a 700 ml bottle. Like its two siblings, the Octomore 13.2 whiskey is non colored and is not chill-filtered. Octomore 13.2. Heavy Peated Whisky NOSE: A distinct note of salty smoke with creamy milk chocolate and orange syrup with hints of grapefruit. TASTE: A very powerful, smoky and peaty note underscored by fresh malted barley and apricots and smoked nuts and vanilla. FINISH: Rich and muscular with a warm, oily pleasant smoky note.
