Devil’s Candy comes from 689 Cellars, a California producer focused on expressive, fruit-forward wines designed around distinctive blends. The winery was created by longtime friends with experience in the wine industry, with each label in the 689 portfolio built around its own story and personality. Devil’s Candy is deliberately positioned as the darker, richer, more indulgent member of the collection. The blend combines Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah, and Charbono. Zinfandel supplies ripe, generous fruit; Cabernet brings structure; Petite Sirah adds colour and concentration; and the less-common Charbono contributes additional dark fruit and savoury character.

Palate: Rich and full-bodied, packed with blackberry, blueberry, black raspberry, and black cherry. Dark chocolate and savoury earth provide depth, while a surprising streak of freshness keeps the wine from becoming overly heavy despite its considerable concentration.
