The -196 range was developed by Suntory, one of Japan’s most respected beverage producers, and has become internationally recognized for its innovative approach to fruit-flavoured ready-to-drink beverages. The name "-196" refers to the proprietary production method in which whole fruit is flash-frozen at -196°C using liquid nitrogen before being crushed and infused into the beverage.

This process helps capture the fruit’s natural aroma, flavour, and freshness more completely than traditional flavour extraction methods. The Strawberry expression highlights the sweet, juicy character of ripe strawberries while preserving the bright, refreshing style that defines the -196 range.
