The First Editions Inchgower 1998

Coming from one of the lesser-known malt whisky producers in the Speyside region, this Inchgower was bottled by Hunter Liang as part of the First Edition series. It was aged in a refill sherry hogshead and bottled at 55.4% abv. Natural colour and non-chill filtered. Now owned by Diageo, Inchgower was founded in 1871 by Alexander Wilson, and the peated malt whisky produced there is known for its smoky, lightly peated flavor. The distillery saw a period of closure between 1902 and 1937, before being reopened by William Lundie.
