Released as part of That Boutique-y Rye Companys Rye Series, this is the very first Boutique-y bottling from the Kentucky Peerless Distillery! Its a 3 year old rye whiskey, bottled up at 49.1% ABV, and it is superb indeed. The label features the original distillery in Henderson, Kentucky, along with baseball cards for founder of said distillery Henry Kraver, along with his great-grandson Corky Taylor and great-great-grandson Carson Taylor, co-founders of the new Kentucky Peerless Distillery! Its like a history lesson, this one. Master of MaltBatch 1 is a release of 406 bottles. Nose: Toffee and honey, swiftly followed by freshly crushed black pepper and a touch of fennel. Palate: Chocolate peanuts, earthy vanilla, another crackle of peppercorn, salted caramel. Finish: Buttered rye bread and a hint of caraway.
