Terralsole Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2015

Terralsole is a boutique estate located in Montalcino, Tuscany, founded by the Vasco family with a focus on low-intervention viticulture and traditional Brunello production. The estate’s vineyards sit at varying elevations, benefiting from excellent sun exposure and the cooling influences that help preserve freshness and aromatic complexity.

Brunello di Montalcino is made exclusively from Sangiovese Grosso, the local clone of Sangiovese. The Riserva designation indicates extended ageing and selection of superior fruit. The 2015 vintage in Tuscany is widely regarded as outstanding, offering excellent ripeness, concentration, and balance thanks to warm, stable growing conditions.

Fermentation is carried out with extended maceration to build structure and complexity, followed by long ageing in oak casks and barrels before additional bottle maturation. The style combines traditional Brunello structure with richness and polish from the exceptional vintage.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep garnet with ruby highlights
Nose: Complex aromas of black cherry, dried raspberry, and plum, layered with notes of tobacco, leather, cedar, dried herbs, and spice
Palate: Full-bodied and structured, with vibrant acidity and firm, integrated tannins; flavours of ripe red fruit, earth, balsamic notes, and subtle oak spice create depth and complexity
Finish: Long and persistent, with lingering cherry, spice, savoury herbs, and mineral undertones

Cellaring & Pairings
Outstanding ageing potential; enjoy now with extended decanting or cellar for 15–25+ years.
Pairs exceptionally well with braised meats, wild game, grilled steak, and rich Tuscan cuisine. Also complements truffle dishes, mushroom risotto, and aged cheeses such as Parmigiano Reggiano and Pecorino Toscano.
