STA Julia La Oveja Natural Torrontes

Santa Julia, part of the Zuccardi family portfolio in Mendoza, is known for its commitment to sustainability and innovation. The “La Oveja” (meaning “the sheep”) line represents the winery’s natural wine project, focusing on organic farming, minimal additives, and a more hands-off approach in the cellar.

Torrontés, Argentina’s signature aromatic white variety, is well-suited to Mendoza’s high-altitude vineyards, where warm days and cool nights help preserve acidity while developing expressive aromatics. In this natural expression, grapes are typically fermented with native yeasts, with little to no filtration and minimal sulphur addition. The goal is to capture the pure, unaltered character of the grape and vineyard.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Pale straw with slight haze possible due to minimal intervention
