2023 brought warm days and foggy mornings and evenings, especially in terraced vineyard sites like Cougar Ridge. The diversity of slope, aspect, elevation in those blocks contributed to a range of flavor ripeness while the cooler coastal influences preserved freshness and minerality.

Tasting Notes & Serving Suggestions:
This wine opens with aromas of ripe apple, orange blossom, cinnamon, and vanilla. On the palate, expect flavors of spiced pear, hazelnut, and touches of grilled bread, underlined by a subtle minerality and a bright, layered finish.
Serve this Chardonnay well chilled at 8–10 °C (46–50 °F) in medium-to-large white wine glasses. Decanting isn’t necessary but a little air will help open its spice and oak tones. Best with pan-seared scallops, crab cakes, creamy squash soup, or risotto with herbs. Drink in the next 3-5 years to enjoy its bright fruit and finesse.
