Port Askaig 8 Year Old Islay Single Malt

The 8 year old is the youngest in the Port Askaig range, but lacks nothing in quality or complexity, with the youth enhancing this whisky’s incredible peaty flavours. On the nose this whisky offers up classic North-East Islay aromas of grassy peat, fresh cereal and maritime minerality. The palate brings a fierce peaty flavour, with liqourice, cereal notes, grass and charred oak. The finish is warming, long and smoky, with a slight dry grassy note. Bottled without chill filtration or colouring, and at a hefty 45.8% ABV, this allows the whisky’s flavours to sing out. One that every Islay fan will love!
