Lochlea Ploughing Edition First Crop

The fourth limited seasonal release single malt from Lochlea distillery, Ploughing Edition is inspired by winter and the connection between Lochlea Farm and Robert Burns, who lived and worked on the farm from 1777 to 1784. Launched on Burns Night 2023, it is the first smoky whisky to come from the Ayrshire distillery and has been matured in a combination of ex-Islay whisky barrels and peated quarter casks, imparting a warming, lightly peated character with notes of cooked apples, brazil nuts, boiled sweets and lingering peat smoke throughout the palate.
