Known for its commitment to expressing vineyard character, the winery sources fruit from carefully selected sites across Chile, particularly in the Maipo Valley and surrounding regions.

The Estate Carménère is typically sourced from vineyards with warm daytime temperatures that allow for full ripening, balanced by cooling influences that help preserve acidity and aromatics. De Martino is known for reducing reliance on new oak and emphasizing purity of fruit and site.

Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel or traditional vessels, often with native yeasts, followed by ageing in neutral oak or large-format vessels. This approach maintains freshness while allowing the grape’s natural character—both fruit and savoury notes—to come through clearly.

Best enjoyed within 4–7 years of vintage, though it can develop additional complexity with short-term ageing.
