Campbeltown 8 Year Old 2014 North Star Spirits

Joining Cask Series 21 from indie bottler North Star Spirits, a superb blend combining single malts distilled in 2014 at a host of undisclosed Campbeltown distilleries. Matured for eight years in a combo of Port and oloroso sherry octaves, this release includes a total of only 434 bottles. Nose: Heaps of soft fruit, syrupy flapjack, and vanilla cream with drizzles of syrup and sugared shortbread. Palate: Jammy red fruits and tannic oak tangle, with dates, dried cherries, and currants supported by biscuity barley. Finish: Nutty malt, leathery oak, and more stewed red fruits are joined by sweet baking spice.
