Arran 17 Years Old Rare Batch Calvados Cask Edition

Arran was an early adopter of cask finishes. Just 8 years after starting production, the distillery released its first limited-edition Calvados Cask Finish expression. The Arran 17 Years Old Rare Batch Calvados Cask Edition takes it a step further: this rare single malt was fully aged in casks previously used to mature Calvados. These casks were sourced from a producer whose family has been making Calvados in the region of Pont-l’Eveque in Normandy for generations. The result is a full-bodied and complex whisky enriched with notes of orchard fruits, heather honey, dried apple, nutmeg and cocoa. Just 4200 bottles were released in late 2022.
