Veuve Clicquot Brut 1.5L

Founded in 1772, Veuve Clicquot is one of Champagne’s historic houses, with a style built around the strength and structure of Pinot Noir. Yellow Label Brut blends approximately 50–55% Pinot Noir, 28–33% Chardonnay and 15–20% Meunier, incorporating 25–45% reserve wines to maintain consistency and complexity from release to release. Fruit is drawn from approximately 50–60 crus, with a Brut dosage of 9 g/L.

The 1.5L magnum holds the equivalent of two standard bottles and is particularly prized for ageing. Because the ratio of oxygen to wine is lower, Champagne develops more slowly in magnum, helping preserve freshness while allowing greater complexity to emerge over time.

Tasting Notes

Colour: Brilliant golden yellow with fine, persistent bubbles.

Nose: Pear, apple and peach with mandarin, grapefruit and fresh brioche.

Palate: Structured yet silky, with ripe orchard fruit, citrus and pastry complemented by subtle dried-fruit notes from lees ageing.

Finish: Fresh and persistent, balancing fruit, brioche and gentle savoury complexity.
