Unico Zelo Delta Blue 2022

Founded by winemakers Brendan and Laura Carter, Unico Zelo focuses on site-expressive wines made with a minimal-intervention approach and an emphasis on varieties suited to Australia’s climate.

Delta Blue comes from Langhorne Creek, where Touriga Nacional and Cabernet grow on deep alluvial red clay-loam soils shaped by the Murray River system. The 2022 blend combines Touriga Nacional, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, producing a fruit-forward red with more freshness and softness than its varieties might suggest.

Tasting Notes
Colour: Deep ruby-purple.

Nose: Blueberry, raspberry and blackcurrant with cassia, bay leaf, clove and subtle purple florals.

Palate: Juicy and supple, with ripe berry fruit, lively freshness and soft, suede-like tannins.

Finish: Fresh and savoury, with lingering blackcurrant, herbs and warming spice.
