Ornellaia 'Poggio alle Gazze dell'Ornellaia' Toscana IGT 2020

Ornellaia sits near the Tuscan coast in Bolgheri, where Mediterranean breezes moderate the warm growing season and help preserve freshness. The estate is also Equalitas-certified for sustainable production, with environmental stewardship integrated throughout its vineyard and winery practices.

The 2020 Poggio alle Gazze dell'Ornellaia is Toscana IGT Bianco. A hot, dry summer followed abundant June rainfall, allowing the Sauvignon Blanc to ripen early without severe water stress and retain strong aromatic intensity.
After hand harvesting and gentle whole-cluster pressing, the wine fermented across barriques, stainless steel and concrete, with 25% new oak. It avoided malolactic fermentation and spent six months on fine lees with regular bâtonnage, followed by 12 months in bottle before release.

Nose: White peach, white flowers and boxwood with sage and aromatic herbs.
Palate: Concentrated yet fresh, with ripe stone fruit, citrus and subtle creamy texture balanced by lively acidity.
Finish: Long, vibrant and savoury, with lingering herbs, citrus and saline minerality.
