Gun Fighter Rum Finish Bourbon

Gun Fighter Rum Finish Bourbon is part of the Double Cask range from Golden Moon Distillery in Golden, Colorado. The bourbon was originally distilled in Kentucky at the former O.Z. Tyler Distillery, before being matured and finished by Golden Moon in Colorado. The whiskey begins its maturation in new American oak, as required for bourbon, before moving into casks that previously held rum. The second maturation brings a noticeably sweeter, fruitier dimension to the bourbon's underlying caramel and oak character.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel and rum-soaked raisins with ripe berries and underlying oak.
Palate: Chocolate, dark berries and dried fruit layered with brown sugar, cherries and bourbon sweetness.
Finish: Medium in length, lightly sweet and fruity with lingering rum character and oak
