Gun Fighter Bourbon

Gun Fighter American Bourbon Double Cask comes from Golden Moon Distillery in Golden, Colorado, founded in 2008 by Stephen Gould and Karen Knight. The whiskey itself has historically been sourced from Kentucky, with bottle documentation identifying the former O.Z. Tyler Distillery in Owensboro as the distiller, before cask conditioning and bottling by Golden Moon in Colorado. O.Z. Tyler was renamed Green River Distilling Co. in 2020.
Gun Fighter takes an unusual double-cask approach. The bourbon spends at least six months in new, heavily charred American oak, followed by additional maturation in used French oak casks that previously held California Port-style wine.

Tasting Notes
Nose: Caramel and vanilla with red berries, cherry and light floral notes, followed by oak and touches of dried fruit.
Palate: Full and spicy, balancing bourbon sweetness with cherry, dried fruit, caramel, vanilla and dark chocolate.
Finish: Lingering fruit and oak with buttery sweetness, spice and a final touch of dark berry.
