Teacher's Highland Cream

Distillery Overview & Production

First created by William Teacher in Glasgow during the 19th century, Teacher’s Highland Cream has become one of the world’s most recognized blended Scotch whiskies. The brand earned its reputation by emphasizing quality malt whisky in its blends, a philosophy that continues to define its character today.

At the heart of Teacher’s Highland Cream is Ardmore Single Malt, a Highland whisky known for its subtle peat smoke and robust flavour profile. This malt is combined with a carefully selected range of other malt and grain whiskies sourced from across Scotland, creating a blend that balances richness, smoke, and smoothness.

The unusually high proportion of malt whisky within the blend contributes depth, texture, and complexity, distinguishing Teacher’s from many lighter blended Scotch whiskies. Careful maturation and expert blending ensure consistency while preserving the whisky’s signature smoky Highland style.

The result is a traditional Scotch whisky that offers remarkable character and value while remaining highly versatile for sipping or mixing.
