Manos Negras Stone Soil Select Malbec

Manos Negras is a collaborative project founded by winemakers with experience in both Argentina and Burgundy, focused on exploring terroir-driven wines from South America. The “Stone Soil Select” series highlights vineyard sites with distinct geological characteristics, particularly rocky soils that contribute to drainage, vine stress, and flavour concentration.

This Malbec is sourced from high-altitude vineyards in regions such as the Uco Valley, where stony, alluvial soils and significant diurnal temperature shifts promote both ripeness and acidity. The result is a more structured and mineral-driven expression of Malbec.
Grapes are hand-harvested and fermented with careful extraction to preserve balance and structure. The wine is aged in French oak barrels (a portion new), enhancing texture and complexity while maintaining the integrity of the fruit and site.
